Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs – Easy, Healthy, and Gluten-Free Dinner with Ground Turkey

Description

Juicy ground turkey meatballs baked and finished with a sweet honey glaze. Perfect as a main dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (93% lean recommended)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ yellow onion, grated (with juice)
  • ¼ cup gluten-free breadcrumbs (or crushed GF crackers)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, parsley, and spices. Mix gently until just combined (do not overwork).
  3. Scoop 1½–2 tbsp of mixture per meatball and roll into balls.
  4. Place meatballs on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. While baking, mix honey and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
  6. After 15 minutes, remove meatballs and brush with the honey glaze.
  7. Return to the oven for another 2–3 minutes to caramelize.
  8. Serve hot with rice, veggies, or as an appetizer with toothpicks.

Notes

These meatballs are gluten-free and can also be meal-prepped in advance. Freeze leftovers for up to 2 months.
