Ingredients

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (for frosting)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat the mini marshmallows, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until fluffy.
- Once the loaf has cooled, spread the marshmallow frosting on top.
- Serve and enjoy your hot cocoa loaf!
Notes
Allow the loaf to cool completely before frosting to maintain the texture of the frosting.
