Description
A cheesy, eggy dip that combines the flavors of deviled eggs, cheddar cheese, and bacon, perfect for snacking.

- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked beef bacon, crumbled
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Crackers, chips, or toasted bread slices for serving
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, bring to a boil, then remove from heat and cover for 12 minutes.
- Prepare an ice bath and transfer eggs to cool completely for 5-10 minutes, then peel under running water.
- Halve the eggs and scoop yolks into a bowl; mash them smooth.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to yolks; mix until smooth.
- Fold in chopped egg whites, cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions until just combined.
- Taste and adjust seasonings, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Before serving, stir well, transfer to a serving bowl, and garnish with more paprika and green onions.
Notes
This dip can be made a day ahead for better flavor. It can also be baked into a hot dip.
