Description
A comforting and easy-to-make green bean casserole using Campbell’s condensed cream of mushroom soup, perfect for any weeknight or holiday table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (10.75 oz) Campbell’s condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 4 cups green beans (fresh, frozen, thawed, or canned, drained)
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Select a baking dish (1.5 quart or 2 quart) and lightly grease it.
- Drain the green beans very well if using canned or frozen.
- In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and soy sauce. Whisk until smooth.
- Fold in the drained green beans and 2/3 of the crispy fried onions.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until the sauce is heated through and bubbling.
- Carefully remove the casserole and sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use good drained green beans for the best result. Skipping the soy sauce will affect the flavor. Save some onions for the final bake to maintain their crunch.
