- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups penne pasta (uncooked)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream (or milk for lighter version)
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Boil salted water, cook penne until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic & Beef: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, sauté 30 seconds. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Create Sauce: Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, then add mozzarella and Parmesan. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Combine: Add pasta to skillet, toss until coated. Add splash of pasta water if needed to loosen.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra cheese. Serve hot.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
