- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup diced pickles
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup mustard
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Brown ground beef for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart.
- Add diced onion to skillet and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Whisk in cheddar and Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to skillet and stir to coat. Mix in pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
- Serve in bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheeses for a smooth melt and control the sauce thickness as needed. You can make it dairy-free with appropriate substitutes.
