- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it. Reserve a tablespoon of bacon fat if desired.
- Sauté the onion in the reserved bacon fat until translucent, add garlic, then add and brown the ground beef.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Whisk together eggs and heavy cream until slightly frothy.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef layer in the baking dish and sprinkle with cheddar, mozzarella, and crumbled bacon.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is golden and edges are set.
- Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnished with parsley.
Notes
This casserole can be made ahead of time; store covered in the refrigerator and bake within 24 hours. Excellent leftovers when reheated in the oven.
