Description

A deliciously easy fudge with a beautiful marshmallow swirl, perfect for impressing guests or as a sweet treat for yourself.


Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 24 ounces (about 4 cups) good quality chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into smaller pieces
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 7 ounces (about 1 1/2 cups) marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme
  • Optional: Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan over low to medium-low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and cubed butter. Stir continuously until melted.
  3. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt. If adding nuts, fold them in now.
  5. Pour about half of the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Dollop the marshmallow fluff over the first fudge layer with 5 to 6 spoonfuls.
  7. Carefully pour the remaining fudge over the marshmallow fluff and spread it gently.
  8. Add a few more marshmallow dollops on top and create swirls with a knife or skewer. Sprinkle flaky sea salt if desired.
  9. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours or until firm.
  10. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.

Notes

Make sure to stir constantly and keep the heat low to avoid burning the chocolate.
