Description

These bite-sized Mediterranean spinach and feta cheese crisps are a flaky appetizer that combines buttery puff pastry with tangy feta and bright spinach, making them perfect for parties or weeknight treats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into small squares, roughly 2.5 to 3 inches (6–8 cm) on a side.
  4. In a bowl, mix the chopped spinach and crumbled feta cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Bring the corners of the pastry square up to the center and seal.
  7. Brush the tops with the egg wash and drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

These crisps are best served warm but are also delicious at room temperature.
