Description

A tender and juicy turkey roast infused with herbs and spices, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 Butterball turkey breast roast (39 lbs) thawed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or nonstick spray
  • Salt, pepper, herbs, and spices (thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, paprika)
  • ½ cup broth, water, or non-alcoholic white wine alternative
  • Roughly chopped yellow onion, celery, carrots, and minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Unwrap the turkey breast and pat it dry.
  2. Combine softened butter with spices to create the herb butter mixture.
  3. Spread the herb butter all over the turkey breast.
  4. Spread chopped vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot.
  5. Pour broth or wine over the vegetables.
  6. Place the butter-rubbed turkey on top of the vegetables.
  7. Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should read 165°F.
  9. Let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
  10. Strain drippings for gravy, simmer, and thicken with cornstarch slurry.
  11. Carve and serve the turkey with gravy.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider using different herbs or a splash of apple cider instead of wine.
