Description
A nostalgic, creamy fruit salad made with peach Jell-O, cream cheese, and whipped topping. This sweet and tangy dessert is perfect for potlucks, holidays, or anytime you crave a retro-style treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (15 oz) peach slices, drained and chopped
- 1 box (3 oz) peach or orange-flavored Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
- ½ cup toasted pecans, chopped (add just before serving)
Optional Add-ins:
- Pineapple chunks
- Mandarin oranges
- Shredded coconut
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water. Let cool to room temperature (do not allow to set).
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and cottage cheese together until smooth.
- Fold in the peach slices, mini marshmallows, and any optional fruits like pineapple, mandarin oranges, or coconut.
- Gently mix in the cooled Jell-O, followed by the whipped topping.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, sprinkle toasted pecans on top for added crunch.
Notes
For a firmer texture, allow it to chill overnight. Add the pecans just before serving to keep them crunchy. You can substitute with strawberry or cherry Jell-O for a fun twist.
