Description

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta, rice, or crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the pan. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic and mushrooms, sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce.
  8. Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Let the chicken rest after cooking to keep it juicy. For a lighter sauce, reduce cream and add chicken broth.
