- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Asiago cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pasta, rice, or crusty bread for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the pan. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest.
- In the same pan, add garlic and mushrooms, sauté until mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
Let the chicken rest after cooking to keep it juicy. For a lighter sauce, reduce cream and add chicken broth.
