Ingredients

  • 16 mozzarella sticks
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Nashville Hot seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least 30-60 minutes.
  2. Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella stick with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Dredge each bacon-wrapped stick in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. Rest the breaded sticks in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer.
  7. Fry the sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dips.
