Description

A nostalgic dessert that combines the flavors of peanut butter cups and chocolate in a simple, fuss-free dump cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 sticks (12 tbsp) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and set it aside to cool slightly.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and spreadable.
  5. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cake mix layer.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped mini peanut butter cups and semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  7. Pour the melted butter evenly over the entire surface of the cake.
  8. Bake for approximately 45–55 minutes, or until golden brown and edges are bubbling.
  9. Let it cool on a wire rack for at least 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added decadence.
