Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 -inch rounds
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 6 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs, for garnish
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping once until golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  4. Spread a layer of softened goat cheese over each toasted slice.
  5. Top with thin pear slices, fanning them slightly.
  6. Drizzle each crostini with honey.
  7. Finish with a sprig of thyme or a piece of rosemary, and black pepper if desired. Serve immediately.
