Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: Combine warm milk, melted butter, and warm water in a bowl. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine and mix: Add yeast mixture and egg to dry ingredients; mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let it rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
