Description
An easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring creamy, tangy cream cheese topped with sweet-spicy pepper jelly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (about 225 g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup pepper jelly (adjust to taste; use jalapeño, habanero, or mixed pepper jellies depending on desired heat)
- Crackers, toasted bread, or sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
- Remove the cream cheese from the fridge about 20–30 minutes before assembling to soften. Microwave for 10–15 seconds if short on time.
- Place the softened cream cheese in the center of a shallow serving dish and spread into an even layer.
- Spoon the pepper jelly over the cream cheese, spreading gently to coat the surface.
- For extra texture, sprinkle sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, or toasted sesame seeds on top.
- Arrange crackers or toasted bread around the dish and serve.
Notes
Store leftovers covered in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4–5 days. Best served chilled or at room temperature.
