Description
Soft, chewy squares of Rice Krispie Treats studded with chopped pistachios, offering a nutty twist on a classic.
Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal and chopped pistachios to the marshmallow mixture and stir until well combined.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Allow to cool, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
For best results, melt marshmallows over low heat to avoid scorching. Work quickly when mixing in the cereal to prevent the mixture from firming up too much.
