  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in melted butter and salt.
  3. Add instant potatoes and mix well.
  4. Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
  5. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Punch down the risen dough and shape into rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Optionally brush with a beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
