- 2 cups instant potatoes
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Stir in melted butter and salt.
- Add instant potatoes and mix well.
- Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and shape into rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet.
- Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Optionally brush with a beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
