- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the bars cool, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Once the bars are cool, spread the cream cheese frosting on top.
- Cut into squares and enjoy your holiday treat!
Notes
Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor. Allow bars to cool completely before frosting.
