- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a pot set over low heat, melt the butter.
- Remove from heat and mix in brown sugar until fully integrated.
- Incorporate pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract into the mixture and stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the dish, then slice into squares and serve.
