Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a pot set over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Remove from heat and mix in brown sugar until fully integrated.
  3. Incorporate pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract into the mixture and stir until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in dark chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
