Description

Soft, fluffy donuts infused with the warm spices and flavors of fall, perfect for cozy mornings or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups flour (162 grams)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted, for dipping)
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (3 tbsp sugar + 2 tsp cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix until combined.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, brown sugar, milk, and 1/3 cup softened butter.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix or under-mix; you want a smooth batter.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off. Pipe the batter into a greased mini donut pan or muffin pan, filling each section 3/4 full.
  6. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the donuts bounce back when touched or a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove the donuts from the pan and let them cool on a cooling rack.
  8. In a shallow bowl, add 1/4 cup melted butter. In another bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for the cinnamon sugar coating.
  9. Working one at a time, dip each donut in the melted butter until fully coated. Then, transfer it to the cinnamon sugar bowl to coat completely.
  10. Enjoy your delicious Pumpkin Spice Donuts!

Notes

Ensure your baking powder is fresh for proper rising. Mix dry and wet ingredients until just combined for light, fluffy donuts. Experiment with toppings like chopped nuts or glaze.
