Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 tbsp parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry and cut it into 12 squares, pressing each into a muffin cup.
  3. Parbake the pastry cups for 8-10 minutes until puffed and golden, then cool slightly.
  4. Blanch green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and cool.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic, then add heavy cream and simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted, and season.
  6. Add blanched green beans and half of the crispy fried onions to the cream sauce.
  7. Spoon the filling into the parbaked pastry cups and top with remaining fried onions and Parmesan.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
