Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 tbsp parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Cut puff pastry into 12 squares and press into muffin cups.
  3. Parbake pastry shells for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly.
  4. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, drain, and set aside.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
  7. Incorporate green beans and crispy onions into the creamy mixture.
  8. Fill each pastry cup with the mixture, topping with more Parmesan and fried onions.
  9. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until tops are bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Garnish with parsley before serving warm.
