Delicious red velvet cookie dough that combines the rich flavor of red velvet cake with the sweetness of cookie dough.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) red food coloring
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
- Mix in vinegar and red food coloring until uniformly colored.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing.
