- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Allow the softened butter to sit at room temperature while the oven heats.
- Cut the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, and wrap in foil. Roast in the oven for 30–35 minutes until soft.
- Let the garlic cool, then squeeze the cloves out into a bowl.
- Add softened butter, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Mix until well combined.
- Place the mixture on plastic wrap, form it into a log, and refrigerate until firm.
- Use as desired on steak, bread, pasta, or vegetables.
Notes
Chill the butter for clean slices and use room-temperature butter for easier mixing.
