- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk until smooth and well combined, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Once chilled, scoop out dough onto the baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but centers are slightly underbaked.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
