- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&Ms
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, and chopped nuts.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly on the prepared sheet pan.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack and cutting into bars.
