Description

A comforting slow-cooked chicken and stuffing dish that’s simple to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 package stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the stuffing mix, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, chopped onion, chopped celery, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the stuffing mixture over the chicken, covering it as evenly as possible.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is tender.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a firmer stuffing, check at 4 hours; for a softer texture, allow up to 6 hours. Can be cooked on HIGH for a quicker meal.
