Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients and set up your workspace.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Portion mixture into 1-1.25 inch meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  5. Pour marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes 10-15 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve over pasta, in hoagie rolls, or as appetizer bites.

Notes

Browning the meatballs beforehand is optional. Use fresh herbs and cheese for best flavor.
