Description

Tender pork chops slow-cooked in a tangy, smoky salsa verde sauce, perfect for tacos or rice bowls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Layer sliced onion and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
  4. Add the seared pork chops on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. Pour salsa verde evenly over the pork chops.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until pork is fork-tender.
  7. Let the pork chops rest briefly before serving with the sauce over the top.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, reserve some salsa verde to stir in after cooking or thicken with cornstarch.
