Description

An elegant and easy holiday appetizer with a delightful blend of creamy, tangy, and smoky flavors.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: Dijon mustard, capers, lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the cream cheese, smoked salmon, sour cream, lemon juice, and dill in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste; add Dijon mustard if desired.
  3. Transfer mixture to a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  4. Serve piped into small cups or spread on crostini or crackers, garnished with dill or capers.

Notes

Store the mousse in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Freezing is not recommended due to texture changes.
