- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage, cooked and drained
- 10 large eggs, scrambled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the ground sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, then drain and set aside.
- In a separate pan, scramble the eggs until just set, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper.
- Unroll the crescent dough on a floured surface and flatten it with a rolling pin.
- Spread the scrambled eggs, sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese over the dough.
- Roll the dough into a log from the long side and slice into 1-inch rounds.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish or parchment-lined sheet pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk until thickened; stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve the rolls warm with cheese sauce drizzled on top, garnished with parsley or green onions.
Notes
These rolls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge overnight before baking.
