Description

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Use an electric mixer and cream until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing well until fully incorporated.
  4. Beat in the egg and almond extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries.
  8. Drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. While cooling, melt the white chocolate chips in short bursts in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled cookies and allow to set.
