- 5 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Extra sliced bananas for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, whole milk, heavy cream, egg yolks, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Place sliced bananas in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bananas.
- In a separate bowl, mix crushed wafers, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the banana layer.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving with whipped cream and extra bananas.
Notes
For variations, you can add chocolate chips or nuts, and use gluten-free substitutes if desired.
