- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (to thicken the sauce)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, water, cornstarch, salt, and garlic powder to create a batter.
- Toss the cauliflower florets in the batter until fully coated.
- Spread the coated cauliflower on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- While baking, make the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, sesame oil, minced garlic, and chili flakes in a saucepan and simmer until thickened.
- Mix in the cornstarch slurry to the sauce to enhance texture.
- Once the cauliflower is baked, toss it in the sauce until coated and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. For best taste, consume shortly after cooking.
