These Stormtrooper cupcakes are fun, easy to decorate, and perfect for Star Wars parties! Featuring soft vanilla sponge, creamy buttercream, and marshmallow toppers with edible Stormtrooper faces.

- For the Cupcakes:
- 110g unsalted butter (softened)
- 110g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 110g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp milk
- For the Buttercream:
- 140g unsalted butter (softened)
- 280g icing sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For Decoration:
- 12 white marshmallows
- 1 black edible icing pen
Instructions
- Bake the Cupcakes: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cupcake tray with paper liners.
- Cream together the softened butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gently fold in the self-raising flour and add the milk to create a smooth batter.
- Spoon into cupcake cases and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden and springy to the touch.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before decorating.
- Make the Buttercream: Beat the butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually mix in the icing sugar, followed by the milk and vanilla extract. Beat until fluffy.
- Pipe or spread the buttercream onto the cooled cupcakes.
- Decorate: Use a black edible icing pen to draw Stormtrooper faces on marshmallows. Place one marshmallow on top of each frosted cupcake.
Notes
You can prepare the marshmallow toppers a day ahead and store them in a cool, dry place. Add edible glitter or star sprinkles for an extra galactic touch!
