Description
These slow cooker Asian chicken lettuce wraps are a fresh, flavorful, and easy weeknight meal. Made with ground chicken, hoisin sauce, water chestnuts, and garlic, they’re served in crisp lettuce cups for a low-carb, high-protein dish.

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ cup diced water chestnuts
- ¼ cup diced onions (optional)
- ¼ cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 head romaine or butter lettuce (washed and separated)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep: Mince garlic, dice water chestnuts, and slice green onions. Wash and separate lettuce leaves.
- Optional – Brown the chicken: For added flavor, brown the ground chicken in a skillet before transferring to the slow cooker.
- Combine: In a crockpot, add ground chicken, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, garlic, water chestnuts, and onions (if using). Stir to combine.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1.5–2 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Finish: During the last 15 minutes of cooking, stir in the sesame oil and shredded carrots.
- Serve: Spoon mixture into lettuce leaves. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Optional: serve with lime wedges or a dipping sauce.
Notes
Add chili oil or sriracha for heat. Serve with rice noodles for a more filling dish. Great paired with cucumber salad or fruit for a fresh contrast.
