- 1 pound ground beef or pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup sweet and sour sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Toothpicks (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the sweet and sour sauce over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and stir to coat. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Serve warm with toothpicks or over rice for dinner.
Notes
For best flavor, taste and adjust store-bought sauce as necessary. Consider adding sesame seeds or green onions for garnish.
