  • 400 grams Boneless chicken breast
  • ¼ tsp White pepper
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 150 grams Cornstarch
  • 1 Egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Spring onions for garnish
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Dried chilli flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 6 tbsp Sweet Chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Cornstarch (mixed with 3 tbsp water)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces; mix with white pepper and soy sauce, then coat with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan; fry chicken until golden brown and crispy; remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic in cooking oil; add chilli flakes, sweet chilli sauce, extra soy sauce, and sugar; simmer.
  4. Add cornstarch slurry; mix until sauce thickens.
  5. Return chicken to pan, coat with sauce, and serve garnished with spring onions.
