Description

A cozy, cheesy taco ring that combines taco flavors with buttery crescent rolls, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 1-ounce packet taco seasoning
  • 2 8-ounce cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional)
  • Fresh toppings (shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, red onion, avocado or guacamole, sour cream, extra salsa)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning mix and 3/4 cup water, simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Add cream cheese and salsa, stirring until smooth. Mix in shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Unroll crescent rolls into a circle on the baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends.
  6. Spoon beef filling onto the wide ends of the crescents, leaving pointed tips free for folding.
  7. Fold pointed ends over the filling and seal the edges.
  8. Optional: Brush with melted butter or egg wash for extra shine.
  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving with fresh toppings.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with beans or plant-based crumbles.
