- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua)
- 1 (10.75-ounce) package ladyfingers, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for coating
- Optional: Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine cream cheese and butter in a bowl and mix until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar gradually while mixing on low speed.
- Add vanilla and almond extracts and mix well.
- Pour in cooled coffee and coffee liqueur and mix until combined.
- Fold in finely crushed ladyfingers gently.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
- Roll chilled mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place truffles on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out.
- Chill for another 30 minutes.
- Pour cocoa powder into a shallow dish.
- Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until completely coated.
- Tap off excess cocoa powder.
- Arrange coated truffles back on the baking sheet.
- If desired, garnish with chocolate shavings.
- Refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a unique twist, consider adding orange zest or using different liqueurs.
