- 2 cans apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread apple pie filling evenly across the dish.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
- Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the apples and caramel.
- Pour melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
- Top with nuts if desired.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding pecans or walnuts on top. Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving to let the layers set.
