Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream ( 240 ml)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese ( 50 g )

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, add the olive oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the heated oil and cook for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant, avoiding browning.
  3. Sprinkle in the flour, whisk continuously for about 1 minute to create a thickening base.
  4. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while whisking to prevent lumps; simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes; adjust to taste.
  7. Set aside to cool slightly before using on pizza.
